Alo Maids & Technical Services was established on January 09, 2013 in response to a widespread practice in UAE (during 2008-2012) where cleaning workers were sometimes paid salaries of AED 400 to AED 800 a month and were not always allowed to go back home for holidays for years, or until they had completed their labor contract period. Our research showed that many were not paid any overtime and they all worked more than 10 hours a day.
Alo Maids & Alo Technical Services was started to create fair employment opportunities for this class of workers who were easily exploited.
We are proud in the fact that the packages we offered to our staff in January 2013 became the minimum requirement and benchmark for employing certain nationalities of staff, and it continues even today in 2020.
We recruit staff based on merit and need, and most of our female staff are single parents and the bread winners for their families.
